Chili Recipe

Chili
1 lb ground beef/turkey
1 can red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
Salt to taste
1 tbs black pepper
3 generous dashes wostershire sauce
1/2 tbs crushed chili flakes
1/2 tsp cayanne pepper
1.5 tbs paprika
2 tbs roasted ground cumin and coriander powder
1.5 tbs oregano
1 small finely chopped onion
3-4 cloves chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
1 deseeded and chopped jalapeño
Water/chicken/beef stock as desired
Olive oil as needed
Toppings:
Chopped cilantro
Scallions
Lime/lemon wedges
Cheddar jack cheese
Jalapeño (optional)
Sour cream
Avocado
Tortilla chips
Directions:
In a pot heat olive oil, to this add onions and garlic and cook until light golden and aromatic, now add the carrots, bell peppers and jalapeño, cook for a minute and add the ground beef. Season the ground beef with salt, and stir until no longer pink. Now add the rest of the spices and the wostershire sauce. Cook the meat with spices for a few minutes and than add the beans and the crushed tomatoes, stir well to combine. At this point please don’t forget to adjust the seasonings accordingly. Now add water or chicken/ beef stock to your desired consistency, let it simmer for 30 mins covered. You chili is now ready to serve.
Dress with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
