HONEY SOY CHICKEN WITH GREEN BEANS
Directions

  • In a bowl marinate chicken with salt, pepper, cayenne, tamari, rice vinegar, vinegar, garlic and honey. Mix well and refrigerate for 1 hour at least.
  • In a skillet heat oil to a medium temperature and add your chicken. You do not want your chicken to brown and sear right away because the sugars from the honey will start burning and your chicken will not have cooked thru. Cook on both sides for 2 minutes before letting the sugars caramelize.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • NOTE
  • I have not used sesame oil in the recipe personally because my daughter is allergic to sesame seeds. Please substitute any ingredients to the best suitable ingredient if you or anyone in the house suffers from any allergies.
  • GREEN BEAN SAUCE
    DIRECTIONS
  • In a pot heat water, salt it and boil the green beans for 2 minutes for crisp tenderness.
  • Now remove them from the water and add them to a bath of ice water to cool them immediately.
  • In a skillet heat oil, to this add ginger, garlic and chili balls. Stir fry until fragrant.
  • Now add the leftover chicken marinade. Mix for a few seconds, and add your green beans. Cook the green beans in the sauce for a couple of minutes and season with salt, pepper and honey. Mix well!
  • Now add the chicken to the sauce, mix well and add corn starch slurry to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  • Mix well and turn off the heat! Garnish with green onions. Serve it on a bed of steamed rice or with a side salad.
