Starbucks copycat recipe of a shaken espresso flavored with simple brown sugar syrup.

Ingredients

  • Brown Sugar Espresso
  • 2 shots of espresso

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar syrup

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 cup Oat milk (May substitute)

  • 1/2 cup ice

  • Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp corn syrup

  • 1/4 inch piece cinnamon stick

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 tbsp water

  • Vanilla Cold Foam
  • 3 tbsp chilled heavy cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla syrup

Directions

  • Brown Sugar Espresso
  • In a mason jar brew 2 shots of espresso, to this add cinnamon powder and 2 tbsp of brown sugar syrup. Cover and shake the jar until the contents in the jar have combined nicely.
  • In a serving glass add ice and pour 1/2 cup milk of choice.
  • Slowly add the brown sugar espresso on top and serve immediately or you can top it off with vanilla cold foam.
  • Brown Sugar Syrup
  • In a sauce pan heat the brown sugar, corn syrup, water, vanilla extract and cinnamon stick.
  • Cook on medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup is starting to look a deep rich amber color.
  • Put it in a mason jar and let it cool. Remove the cinnamon stick once the syrup has cooled down.
  • Cover and store at room temperature!
  • Vanilla Cold Foam
  • Put chilled heavy cream in a mason jar or milk frother, add 1 tsp of vanilla syrup and froth for 45 seconds or until the heavy cream has slightly thickened and looks like a foam.
